Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using reggysosa.com ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and participants in any tournament hosted on this Platform.

2. What This Platform Is

Reggy Sosa is an online tournament platform for NHL video game (CHEL / World of CHEL) competitive play. We host tournaments, manage brackets, collect entry fees where applicable, and facilitate match coordination between participants. We are not affiliated with EA Sports, the NHL, or any console manufacturer.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to register and participate. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not share accounts or register multiple accounts.

4. Tournament Rules & Conduct

All participants are expected to follow the official tournament rules posted on the Platform. This includes but is not limited to:

• Playing matches with the correct settings (Private Match, NA-East servers, 3-minute periods)
• Submitting a screenshot of the final score after each match
• Joining the Reggy Sosa Discord server as required
• Treating all opponents and staff with respect
• No intentional lag-outs, exploits, or unsportsmanlike behavior

Violations may result in disqualification, removal from the tournament, or a permanent ban from the Platform at our sole discretion.

5. Entry Fees & Payments

Some tournaments require an entry fee paid via Stripe. By submitting payment you agree to our Refund Policy. Entry fees are non-refundable once a tournament has started, except in the case of a tournament cancellation. All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card information.

6. Disqualification

A team or player may be disqualified for any of the following reasons:

• Failure to check in before the tournament starts
• No-show after 10 minutes of the scheduled match time
• Lag-out during a match
• Failure to submit a score screenshot
• Cheating, exploiting, or unsportsmanlike conduct
• Violating any tournament rule

Disqualified players are not eligible for refunds of entry fees.

7. Prizes

Where prize pools are offered, winners will be contacted via Discord for prize distribution. We reserve the right to withhold prizes if we determine a winner violated any tournament rules. Prize distribution timelines will be communicated at the time of the tournament.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at any time for violations of these Terms, toxic behavior, cheating, chargebacks, or any conduct deemed harmful to the community. Terminated accounts forfeit any entry fees paid.

9. Limitation of Liability

Reggy Sosa is not responsible for any technical issues outside our control including but not limited to: server outages, internet connectivity problems, game crashes, console issues, or EA Sports platform errors. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this Platform.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.
